In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be CLOSING AT 3PM on Friday, May 25 and CLOSED Monday, May 28.

In the center of downtown Syracuse, the team at MONEY Federal Credit Union is working together to improve the lives of their members. Join the credit union family. We’re better together!

A Different Financial Institution

Unlike banks, credit unions are not-for-profit. That means instead of paying stockholders, we pay our members. Any earnings beyond what is needed for operational expenses are returned to the membership in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and new products and services.

Who Is Eligible To Open an Account?

If you live, work, or attend school in Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga, or Madison County; if you have an immediate family member who already has an account; or if your business or other legal entity is located in any of the above counties, then you’re eligible! If you're interested in opening an account, you can open it online, or print an application and return it to us with a copy of your driver's license. It’s just $5 to open an account and become part of the credit union family.

Founded in 1976

MONEY Federal Credit Union was founded in 1976 by Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company (MONY) employees who wanted an alternative to the high costs of commercial banks. We now serve more than 4,000 members from all over the world.
