About

Join the MONEY FCU family where we work with you to improve your financial life. Our headquarters is in downtown Syracuse but we can serve you anywhere. We’re better together!

We See Finances Differently

We believe in our members. They own the credit union, not stockholders. MONEY Federal Credit Union is not-for-profit, which means any money we make is put back into the membership so they benefit from higher savings rates, lower loan rates, and new products and services.

Who Is Eligible To Open an Account?

Anyone who lives, works, or attends school in our local region (Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga, or Madison County) is eligible for membership. You would also be eligible if you have a business or other legal entity located in the above-mentioned counties, or if an immediate family member already has an account with us. You can open an account online, or print an application and return it to us with a copy of your valid driver's license. It only takes $5 to open your account. Join our credit union family today!

Founded in 1976, Growing to the Future

MONEY Federal Credit Union was founded by Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company (MONY) employees. Originally established as an alternative to the high costs of a commercial bank, we have grown to now serve members from all over the world.

Benefits of Joining MONEY Federal Credit Union

“Once a member, always a member.” Your account can stay here for life, even if you move away. Because we have members in almost every state, we know about “long distance relationships”. Our customer service is a strength, especially if you don’t necessarily need to visit a branch. When you contact us, you always speak with a live person.
